THE PROGRAM

Enjoy four weeks in beautiful Valparaíso, Chile, while you learn on the campus of Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. The program will include a language course and a content course, both taught entirely in Spanish by WSU and UCV Instructors. Students will improve their oral skills as well as their written Spanish and reading abilities. The program will include extra-academic activities, such as city tours and handcraft workshops.

There will be two trips to Santiago and "the route of wine" (Casablanca Valley), and one to Isla Negra, where one of Pablo Neruda's houses is located. Students will learn about Chilean society, the way Chilean people live, their culture, holidays, music, typical dishes, and family life.
