ABOUT THE WSU PARTNERSHIP WITH CAMP ADVENTURE:

Camp Adventure provides an extraordinary opportunity for university and college-age students of all majors to participate in a valuable service-learning experience to network internationally, build your resume, work with children and youth, and engage in a variety of cultural experiences.

Camp Adventure offers semester internships worldwide working in Child Development Centers and School-Age Programs. Although Camp Adventure Youth Services does not offer participants a wage, participants receive a living stipend, round-trip airfare, lodging, and 12 college credits at a very reduced rate (undergraduate or graduate).  On average, participants receive a living stipend of $2,900 for 17 weeks.

THE CAMP ADVENTURE PROCESS:

The Camp Adventure Internship application process takes place year-round.
Any interested student will go through the following steps.
  1. Email Susan Edginton at internship@campadventure.com and briefly describe your experiences working with children as well as your major, school, and degree.  Please also include your phone number and mailing address.  The subject line of your email should say INTERNSHIP/WSU.
  2. Get invited to an interview (in-person or via video-conferencing).
  3. Get accepted to the Camp Adventure Program.
  4. Complete required on-line trainings prior to departure.
  5. Complete the applicable WSU Camp Adventure application.  You can begin this application using the Apply Now button above.  You must complete this application prior to the WSU deadline for your specific Camp Adventure program.
NOTE: Non-WSU students MUST apply to WSU as a Non-Degree Seeking Student, the application can be found HERE.

  • Approximately 300+ hours working with children and youth
  • No criminal background
  • 2.6 GPA
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must be a collegiate student or recent graduate
